This summer holiday my Dad's cousin from Canada and his friend Jon came to
visit me in Århus. We had a great time, and 3 days in a row we went to
"Twist and Shout", which is a cosy discothèque in 3 floors in downtown
Århus. We turned regulars, and left estimated 10.000 DKK in those 3 days
(read nights). The lads took some nice pics with their digital camera, which
you can all see on
Bruce's
homepage I stole some pics from Bruce's homepage, sorry mate... We started in Vejle at Dorthe's place. It was a Monday, and a quiet night, so we played football in the main street. Something which is normally impossible, and when your sober probably not very interesting for more than a minute. 10 minutes later we stopped and went to the legendary Charlies' Pub and had a lot of Charlies' Special:
Next morning we went to Århus, and this is where all went wrong!
I took a few pics with my camera, the first is Jon AKA "da grill master" in the smoke. He made some excellent beefs with beer marinade! Bruce is in the yellow shirt. Dorthe and her brother Jesper joined us the last night. The grass field is great, although it has a slight slope...
Later we went inside and we taught them the DDG (Danish Drinking Games). Soon they turned in to DDGWACT (Danish Drinking Games With A Canadian Twist). Solid!
And finally, my favourite pic: Bruce climbs da WESL!!!
So lads and lassie: Thanks for some great days in Århus, may we have plenty more of them... Afterwards the went to visit my Dad, sister and brother. Peter hooked up with a ho or two: Smooth bro! In August me mate and soulbrother came to Århus!!! It was big, it was huge, it was... it was a BLAST!!!
Obviously we went to the local brewery for a guided tour, and what a tour. It was for free, it was guided, and at the end all the beers were for free. We decided it would be rude not to accept the kindly offer. Result: We got pissed... We also had crayfish and Swedish Vodka, and Johan brought a bottle of Flaggpunsh, which is a very delicate drink, that is equally hard to describe. Then Jette and my chiuaua came, and we got hammered... It was one big reunion, and it was a success. So guys, I can only say let's do it again. He came, he saw and he conquered. |
